A Tragic Delusion
Essay Accompanying the exhibition A Tragic Delusion at Blue Oyster

Blue Oyster, Dunedin, 5 – 29 August 2015

A two part essay that touches on Aotearoa's history of artist-run activity since the 1970s in order to explore where the emerging art community is today. Isolation and unconventional locations for exhibiting work form the basis for the exhibition, which was held in both a gallery and an empty warehouse. The second part directly addresses the works in the exhibition.
